Why Class 12 Physics is Extremely Important for NEET
Class 12 Physics is one of the most important parts of NEET Physics preparation. NEET Physics contains 45 questions, and around 22 to 23 questions generally come from Class 12 Physics. This means that almost half of the Physics paper can be connected to Class 12 topics. A student who prepares Class 12 Physics properly can build strong confidence for the final examination, especially because many Class 12 chapters are direct, formula-based, theory-rich and highly scoring when revised in the right way.
Many students feel that Class 12 Physics is usually easier than Class 11 Physics. There is some truth in this because Class 11 often contains mechanics, vectors, rotation and other chapters that demand deeper mathematical thinking. Class 12 Physics, on the other hand, contains many chapters where clear concepts, NCERT reading, formulas and repeated MCQ practice can quickly improve performance. However, students should not underestimate Class 12 Physics. It contains significantly more theory, and that theory must be read carefully. NCERT becomes very important for Class 12 because many definitions, conceptual statements, examples, diagrams and application-based ideas are directly connected to NEET-level questions.
Concept Clarity Makes Class 12 Physics Easier
Physics becomes easy when concepts are understood properly. Current Electricity becomes easy once concepts are clear. Ohm’s law, resistance, resistivity, drift velocity, Kirchhoff’s laws, Wheatstone bridge, meter bridge and potentiometer are not difficult when students understand the physical meaning behind current flow and potential difference. With regular chapter-wise MCQs, Current Electricity can become one of the most reliable scoring chapters.

Class 12 Physics should be studied with a balanced strategy. First, students should read NCERT carefully. Second, they should revise formulas and diagrams. Third, they should practise solved examples and then move to MCQs. Fourth, they should review mistakes.
