because concepts are explained in the simplest language.

A Real Classroom Story from Kolkata

One day, a student named Ritam from Camac Street joined Kumar Sir’s online class.

Ritam was afraid of Gauss Law.

Whenever cube questions appeared, he became nervous.

Questions like:

  • charge at center of cube

  • charge at corner of cube

  • flux through one face

  • symmetry problems

looked impossible to him.

But Kumar Sir smiled and said:

“Physics becomes easy when symmetry becomes your friend.”

Then Kumar Sir drew a cube on the board.

Suddenly the entire chapter became simple.

Case 1 – Charge Placed at the Center of a Cube

Suppose a charge (Q) is placed at the center of a cube.

Then total electric flux coming out of the cube becomes:

\Phi = \frac{Q}{\varepsilon_0}

Now Kumar Sir explained the most important idea.

Since the charge is exactly at the center, all six faces are completely symmetrical.

That means electric flux distributes equally among all six faces.

Therefore electric flux through one face becomes:

\Phi_{\text{one face}} = \frac{1}{6}\frac{Q}{\varepsilon_0}

This is one of the most important NEET and IIT JEE concepts.

Why Symmetry Is Important

Students usually try to memorize formulas.

But Kumar Sir teaches through logic.

If all six faces are identical and charge is at center, then nature distributes flux equally.

This is symmetry.

This single understanding solves many difficult questions.

Case 2 – Charge Placed at the Corner of a Cube

Now Kumar Sir gave another question.

Suppose charge (Q) is placed at one corner of the cube.

Now students usually panic.

But Kumar Sir explained:

“Whenever such questions come, create symmetry.”

Then he imagined:

  • one cube

  • two cubes

  • four cubes

  • finally eight cubes together

forming a larger symmetrical cube.

Now the charge becomes located at the center of the larger cube.

This is the magic of visualization.

Total Flux Through Large Cube

For the large cube:

\Phi = \frac{Q}{\varepsilon_0}

But this total flux distributes equally among 8 small cubes.

So flux through one small cube becomes:

\Phi_{\text{small cube}} = \frac{1}{8}\frac{Q}{\varepsilon_0}

This is one of the most beautiful applications of symmetry.

Why Students Love Kumar Sir’s Teaching

Students in Kolkata love Kumar Sir’s teaching because:

  • difficult questions become easy

  • concepts become visual

  • formulas become logical

  • fear disappears

  • confidence increases

This is why many students preparing for NEET and IIT JEE are learning Physics from Kumar Sir.

Another Important Flux Concept

Now Kumar Sir discussed a very interesting problem.

Suppose:

  • one charge is inside the cube

  • another identical charge is outside the cube

Now students often become confused.

But Kumar Sir explained something extremely important.

Only enclosed charge contributes to net electric flux.

External charges do not contribute to net flux through the closed surface.

This is Gauss Law.

Understanding the Cancellation

Suppose one charge produces outward flux.

Another external charge produces equal inward effect through the surface.

By symmetry, net contribution cancels.

That is why final flux may become zero in many questions.

This is exactly why conceptual understanding is necessary.

Why NEET Students Must Master Electrostatics

Electrostatics is extremely important for:

  • NEET

  • IIT JEE Main

  • IIT JEE Advanced

because questions are highly conceptual.

Students who only memorize formulas usually struggle.

Kumar Sir trains students to think visually.

Kolkata Students Need High Scores in Physics

Students preparing for NEET should target:

160+ marks out of 180 in Physics

to get admission into a good medical college.

Similarly IIT aspirants should target:

99 percentile and above

for top engineering colleges and IITs.

This requires:

  • conceptual clarity

  • strong practice

  • vector understanding

  • visualization ability

which Kumar Sir develops carefully.

A Success Story from Kolkata

Ritam initially scored poorly in Physics.

He feared:

  • Gauss Law

  • Flux

  • Electrostatics

  • Vectors

But after learning through symmetry and visualization, his confidence increased dramatically.

Instead of memorizing formulas, he started understanding concepts deeply.

His marks improved quickly.

Today he solves cube flux problems confidently.

Why Parents Trust Kumar Sir

Parents appreciate Kumar Sir because:

  • concepts are taught from basics

  • regular practice is done

  • doubts are solved patiently

  • students become confident

  • weak students improve gradually

Many Kolkata students who once feared Physics now enjoy solving numericals.

Why Visualization Is the Secret of Physics

Physics is not about memorization.

Physics is about:

  • imagination

  • direction

  • symmetry

  • visualization

  • logical understanding

This is why Kumar Sir teaches students to think visually.

Final Understanding of Cube Flux Problems

Always remember:

  • Total flux through closed surface depends on enclosed charge

When two large thin parallel plates are placed very close to each other and their inner surfaces have charge densities of opposite signs, the behavior of the electric field becomes very interesting. To understand the electric field properly, we imagine placing a unit positive charge at different positions around the plates. This imaginary positive charge helps us understand the direction and strength of the electric field.

If the unit positive charge is placed between the two plates, one plate attracts it while the other plate repels it. Since both effects act in the same direction inside the plates, the electric fields support each other and become stronger. This is why the electric field between oppositely charged parallel plates becomes very large and nearly uniform. This concept is extremely important in electrostatics and capacitor theory.

Now suppose the unit positive charge is placed outside the plates on either side. In that region, the electric field due to one plate acts in one direction while the electric field due to the other plate acts in the opposite direction. Because of this opposition, the fields tend to cancel or subtract from each other. As a result, the electric field outside the plates becomes very small or nearly zero.

This is one of the most important concepts in electric field and capacitors. Understanding this concept visually helps students solve many conceptual and numerical problems in NEET, IIT JEE, CBSE, ICSE, IB, and A-Level Physics.

Suppose we have a uniformly charged plate and a charged particle is placed near it. The charged plate produces an electric field around itself. Because of this electric field, the particle experiences an electric force.

If the particle has charge (q), then the electric force acting on it is:

(F = qE)

where (E) is the electric field produced by the plate.

Now suppose the particle is placed in such a way that the electric force acts upward. At the same time, the weight of the particle acts downward due to gravity.

The gravitational force on the particle is:

(W = mg)

where:

  • (m) = mass of the particle

  • (g) = acceleration due to gravity

For the particle to remain balanced or suspended in air, the upward electric force must become equal to the downward gravitational force.

Therefore, the condition of equilibrium becomes:

(qE = mg)

This means the electric force balances the weight of the particle. If the electric force becomes greater than weight, the particle moves upward. If the weight becomes greater, the particle moves downward. Only when both forces become equal does the particle remain at rest.

This concept is very important in Electrostatics and is frequently asked in NEET, IIT JEE, CBSE, ICSE, IB, and A-Level Physics.
